The Baby Princess enjoying her big girl pram!

Cuddle time at a family gathering

I'm thinking at the end of the 52 week project of putting all the photos together into a photo book and giving them out to a few family members as a keepsake.

Have you had any ideas about what you might do with your images?

We've started on solids and this was the Baby Princesses apple face

Thrilled to be a part of this project with Jodi.

Change

I've been thinking a lot lately about how my life has changed over the past 12 months. Of course I'm referring to life Pre-Baby and life Post-Baby.

Life Pre-Baby was relatively carefree. Both hubby and I worked in good stable jobs. We had a mortgage, but could still maintain a lifestyle with dinners out, yearly overseas holidays and nice cars. Interestingly, we always wanted more. Maybe that's just a generational thing? I look back at this now and realise how naive I was to have wanted more. Our life was great. We had the love of each other, our health, supportive families and great friends.

Life Post-Baby is almost unrecognisable. I'm on maternity leave, so we only have one income to live on. The mortgage is still there, but now there is half the amount of money in the coffers to pay it. Dinners out are a distant memory, yearly overseas holidays (who are we kidding), and the 2 door convertible I had longed for has been traded in for the 4 door practical family sedan. My penchant for designer duds has most definitely been put on hold as any extra cash goes into clothing the little one who has secretly become my little dress ups project!

You might think upon reading this that life Post-Baby is a little bit crappy. Rest assured you could not be more wrong! Life Post-Baby is my new life, now and forever, and it is the greatest thing in the world. Having more possessions or more money will not make you happy. More often than not it will just make you want more. Being a family and having a daughter is the best thing I have ever done. And I can truly say, I'm the happiest and most contented person I have ever been in my life.

Heading out for a walk with my beautiful girl

Every little Princess should have their own personalised towel. I think she's pretty happy with it too!

First time dipping the Baby Princess into her blow up pool and she absolutely loved it! We have a little water baby on our hands.

I'm just loving the memories we are creating with this project. Thanks Jodi!

Apologies for the lateness of this post. We are away on holidays and I was having some technical difficulties.

The Baby Princess

The two of us

I'm a bit excited about this project I am about to embark on. I'm hoping it will be a good way to ensure I keep up this blogging business!

So what is this project you ask?

I will be joining in on the 52 week project, the fabulous idea of Jodi at Che and Fidel. I'll be taking a portrait of The Baby Princess and a portrait of the two of us every week of 2013.

Thanks to my gorgeous friend Amelia at Weddings, Babies... Everything for suggesting I join in on this little project. I can't think of a better way to commemorate the first year of the Baby Princesses life.

I hope you enjoy viewing the images as much as i'll enjoy taking them.

Passion for Fashion

Those who know me are well aware of my appreciation for beautiful things.

How my obsession with fashion got started, I couldn't pin point the exact moment for you, but I think it may have slowly simmered over many years of being dragged around the fashion Capital (Chadstone) with my Mum and Auntie.

I loved touching the fabric, appreciating the design and the overwhelming feeling of joy when you find something you love. My passion for fashion is not limited to clothing, in fact I am a much bigger lover of accessories. Shoes, bags, jewellery e.t.c... They are the spice that completes an outfit! They add the sparkle, the finishing touch!

Through my career (I'll save that story for another day) I have been lucky enough to travel the world and visit the flagship stores of some of my favourite brands. So I thought I'd share with you a few pics of my favourite things purchased in some of the most amazing fashion houses;

Hermes bangle and Miu Miu leather bracelet

My fabulous Miu Miu flats
